Bealtaine Festival - Intercultural Music Event

During the month of May, the Bealtaine Festival will place through Ireland. The concept behind the Festival is to celebrate the creativity in older age!!  2011 is the 11th year of the festival and with each year, it’s popularity grows and grows.

“From dance to cinema, painting to theatre, Bealtaine showcases the talents and creativity of both first-time and professional older artists. It is a chance for people to make new and challenging work, a chance to communicate traditions between the generations. It is a chance for the novice to discover a talent until then unseen and a chance for a long-dormant skill to find a new outlet.” (http://bealtaine.com/what-bealtaine

Here at Croí na Gaillimhe, we believe in celebrating the festival and have a full range of events planned for the month of May. First up is ‘Intercultural Music Event’, where we have a fantastic afternoon of music planned. There will be African drumming, Traditional Irish Music and even a choir!! Can you afford to miss such an event?
There is no charge to attend - it's all free!. Just come along on Wednesday 4th May at 2pm and join in the fun. Hope to see you there!

New May Timetable

As Spring continues some of our classes are drawing to a close and so we will have a new timetable for the month of May. We will be cutting back on the number of classes that will be taking place throughout May and the Summer months but don't worry - this is only because we are busy planning a new and hectic schedule for September!!
